Restrictions for Russian flights
AIC-I 02/22 has been withdrawn. Norway has adopted restrictions for Russian flights. These regulations apply to airspace over the territory of the Kingdom of Norway.
It is prohibited for any aircraft operated by Russian air carriers, including as a marketing carrier in code-sharing or blocked-space arrangements, or for any Russian registered aircraft, or for any non-Russian-registered aircraft which is owned or chartered, or otherwise controlled by any Russian natural or legal person, entity or body, to land in, take off from or overfly Svalbard, Jan Mayen and the Norwegian mainland.
Emergency landings and emergency overflights are excluded.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs may authorise an aircraft to land in, take off from, or overfly, the territory of Norway if they have determined that such landing, take-off or overflight is required for humanitarian purposes or any other purpose consistent with the objectives of these regulations. Any application must be submitted to post@mfa.no, cc to traffic@caa.no, at least two work days prior to flight.
