NORWAY – EXEMPTIONS FROM (EU) 1079/2012
In Norway FIR carriage of 8.33 KHZ channel spacing radio equipment is mandatory for aircraft operating above FL195.
Below FL 195, carriage of 8.33 KHZ channel spacing radio equipment will become mandatory within December 31 2025.
From January 1 2018, carriage of 8.33 KHZ channel spacing radio equipment will be mandatory within the EUR-region, with some national exemptions. Norway has currently been granted exemptions from the introduction of this requirement until December 31 2025.
Planned flights with aircraft not equipped with VHF 8.33 KHZ channel separation radio equipment from Norway to states where the requirement is implemented, will not be accepted by the Initial Flight Plan processing System (IFPS) upon submission of a flight plan.
Non-8.33 KHZ equipped military and State aircraft flying GAT and equipped with UHF, will be accommodated in Norway on UHF frequencies and/or VHF 25 KHZ channel separation.
