Fly drones safely

This is a summary of the most important rules for drones under 25 kg in the open category. Further information is available under Drones in the menu above.

Familiarise yourself with where you are allowed to fly. Don’t fly the drone within the large safety zones surrounding airports unless you have been granted permission by the control tower.

If the drone weighs more than 25 kg you must apply for operational autorisation from CAA – Norway.

Other distance limitations may apply if you pass the A2 exam and fly a drone with a C2 class mark.
